Scott O Hirsch is an American entrepreneur in the internet industry. In 1992, he began his internet business career by selling contact lenses and other things online. With the founding of eDirect in 1998, he joined the commercial email marketing industry. Hirsch established Relation Serve Media in 2004, an interactive advertising business that specializes in email marketing.
Hirsch co-founded Appsbar Inc. in 2009, which enables users to create their own applications. He is presently the manager of Appsbar and a boxing promoter. Scott is also a writer and regular Huffington Post contributor.
In 1998, Scott O Hirsch created eDirect, which eventually merged with Naviant in 2002. In 1998, Scott O. Hirsch entered the commercial email marketing industry (often known as the spam business). Hirsch reportedly sold Naviant to consumer credit behemoth Equifax for a stunning $135,000,000, as reported by Time[16]. The merged firm, known as Naviant, grew to become one of the largest Internet direct-marketing companies. Naviant became a pioneer in online registration trends and invented the notion of email data appending (also known as "e-pending") to mailing lists.
Hirsch established Relation Serve Media in 2004, an interactive advertising business that specializes in email marketing. In 2005, Hirsch went public with the firm on the American Stock Exchange under the code RSVM. Scott launched DigDev, a digital media agency operating as DigDev Direct, in 2008.
Currently, Hirsch resides in Florida as a professional boxing manager. He manages Cory Spinks, a five-time World Champion, and the top-ranked junior middleweight according to the International Boxing Federation. He was crowned Boxing Manager of the Year by the WBO in 2006 and was nominated for the same honor by the Boxing Writers Association of America. 2006 was a perfect year for his three heavyweights, Shannon Briggs, Jameel McCline, and JD Chapman. Shannon Briggs, a two-time heavyweight champion, was guided to seven consecutive victories and the WBO World Heavyweight championship until falling to Sultan Ibragimov by unanimous decision in June 2007 in Atlantic City. He also coached Jameel McCline to six consecutive victories and a crack at the WBA championship, which McCline lost in January 2007 in Basel, Switzerland, due to a knee injury. He has helped JD Chapman, a heavyweight prospect from Arkansas, amass a 27-0 record and a #14 WBC world ranking. Chapman has not yet faced a ranked opponent. Hirsch's boxers are frequently featured on national television and on the fight cards of prominent promoters, including as Don King, Wilfred Sauerland, Golden Boy, Main Events, Cedric Kushner, and Duva Boxing.
Scott O Hirsch, a lifetime racquetball aficionado, was a member of the Providence College racquetball team and won the 1985 Big East Intercollegiate Regional Racquetball Championship. Hirsch, together with Marty Hogan and Steve Keeley, co-founded the Legends of Racquetball and Paddleball Tour in 2002. From 2002 until 2005, Hirsch served as executive director of the tour.
